The pioneers of trip-hop are coming to Germany in October with their new album for selected concerts – Munich date: October 24, 2025, Kesselhaus
Morcheeba – pioneers of trip-hop and genre-bending sounds between downbeat, chillout, electro-pop, and soul – are coming to Germany in 2025 with their new album “Escape The Chaos” for selected concerts.
The tour will take them to Hamburg, Berlin, and on October 24th to the Kesselhaus in Munich. A must for all fans of the band, which has been shaping the music world for 30 years!
With “Escape The Chaos,” their 11th studio album, Skye Edwards (vocals) and Ross Godfrey (guitar, keyboards) once again demonstrate their unmistakable feel for profound melodies, haunting lyrics, and atmospheric sounds. The new record is a fascinating mix of electronic and organic sounds, characterized by their signature warmth and intimacy.
“We’ve had a lot of people say to us over the years that our music has changed their lives or got them through something that was really difficult or traumatic. It’s a good feeling that you can help to heal people in your own small way,” says Skye Edwards.
Tickets are available from Friday, March 21, 10 a.m. at https://www.reservix.de/ and all official ticket agencies such as MyTicket, München Ticket, and Eventim.
About Morcheeba:
The story of Morcheeba began three decades ago with a chance encounter at a party in South London. Ross Godfrey, then only 18 years old, invited Skye Edwards to his shared apartment after hearing that she sang and wrote songs. What followed was a unique musical partnership that continues to this day.
The band has since sold over 10 million albums, played countless international tours, and secured a permanent place in the music universe with classics such as “The Sea,” “Otherwise,” and “Rome Wasn’t Built In A Day.”
Their latest work, “Escape The Chaos,” was created in an intensive two-year production phase, characterized by collaborations with artists such as Oscar #Worldpeace and El Léon Pardo. The opening track, “Call For Love,” addresses the search for cohesion and tolerance in turbulent times and sets a strong example with its profound lyrics.
“Call For Love is very grounding, musically and emotionally. The world is so confusing and complicated these days. An apocalypse is always on the horizon, both personal and global. It is comforting to take refuge in music and love with those close to us,” says Ross Godfrey about the meaning of the song.
The album concludes with the title track “Escape The Chaos,” which also conveys its central message. Ross Godfrey describes the meaning behind it as follows: “This whole record is a process of trying to reconnect with what really matters, whether it’s what in your heart or with the world, putting your feet on grass and feeling the earth beneath you. It’s about not being distracted by all the bullshit.” Skye Edwards adds: “The song Escape The Chaos is about being able to press play and switch off. I love being able to do that with music. It can be a bit of therapy. It won’t bring about world peace, but it can bring about inner peace and calm.”
Even after 30 years of band history, Morcheeba remains a musical constant, bringing peace and depth to the music world with their unique blend of trip-hop, soul, and electronic elements – and will be experienced live on stage again in 2025.
